Loeks Theatres opened the 16-screen, 2,600-seat Celebration Cinema South in Gaines Township on October 14, 2005. The Grand Rapids Press reported that it opened with stadium seating and the first digital projection in West Michigan. Today Theatre 1 is a “C Premium” room with 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound. You also get recliners, Dolby Digital 3D and online ticketing.
