01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
The Tonon family opened Café Cortina in 1976 on what used to be an apple orchard in Farmington Hills. Founder Adriano Tonon came to America from Italy's Veneto region as a teen, and today his wife Rina and sons Adrian and Giancarlo run the place. The menu leans Northern Italian, with handmade pasta and produce from a seasonal garden right behind the restaurant. Gardens, patios and elegant dining rooms also make it a go-to for weddings and private dinners.
- Family owned by the Tonons since 1976
- Handmade pasta and Northern Italian cooking
- Seasonal garden-to-table produce from out back
