Bucharest Grill has been feeding Detroit's shawarma habit since 2007, and this location sits on Livernois among the Avenue of Fashion's shops and galleries. The star is the marinated, grilled chicken shawarma, with beef, veggie and the signature Bucharest Shawarma close behind. The menu also brings back grape leaves and stuffed peppers, plus big salads and a golden falafel quesadilla. It's open until 11 pm Monday through Saturday, handy after a stroll or a show on the Avenue.
