The cinema at Briarwood Mall opened on October 5, 1973, near I-94 and State Street. It had many operators, among them United Artists, MJR, Madstone and Teicher Theaters. At one point it ran up to seven screens. It ended as a four-screen bargain cinema, the Briarwood Dollar Movies 4. It closed in June 2010, and the space went to retail.
