Breakout Escape Rooms is a Michigan company with sister venues in Warren, Shelby Township, Ann Arbor and Lansing. It says it's the only escape room in Metro Detroit where the game host plays a costumed character matching your theme. The Royal Oak lineup runs from the 75-minute, 15-player Zombie Roadhouse to the local alien comedy Aliens Are Among Us, and two games can be played head-to-head. Every game is private, and start times run as late as 11:45 p.m.

It's reservation only, online or at (586) 359-6944, for teams of 2 to 15. Players under 15 need an adult in the room, but with an adult, all ages are welcome. For birthdays, you can grab the party room for 45 minutes before your game.
Accessibility
Several larger rooms let guests in wheelchairs or on crutches move around easily. Not every game element is accessible, but you can take part in most of the game.
