After the Rainbow Room closed, its East 8 Mile space became known as the Birdcage, another show bar. Like its predecessor, it had drag pageant titles of its own, including Miss Birdcage and Miss Amateur Birdcage, which are recorded in the Our Community Roots archive. No current listing for the bar has been found, so it is not clear whether it still operates.
