Founded by Bert Dearing, Bert's has a jazz room and a Motown room, plus the Warehouse theater at 2739 Russell St. Visit Detroit lists live jazz on Thursdays and Fridays, blues on Saturday nights and an open mic on Sundays, and its market-day Saturday karaoke has been an Eastern Market fixture for years. It's still booking shows and parties in 2026, like a hip-hop meet-and-greet show on September 25 and the 5th annual Halloween party at Bert's Warehouse Theatre on October 31.
