Make time for these
This 21-screen megaplex opened in 2000 as a Star Theatres location of the Jack Loeks chain, right beside Fairlane Town Center. It replaced the older UA cinemas inside the mall and seated 4,600. Its almost Disney-like themed facade quickly made it a landmark on Michigan Avenue. Loews Cineplex took it over, then AMC, and by 2017 it had an IMAX auditorium. AMC closed it on November 13, 2022.
