Make time for these
Al's Fresh Fish & Chicken has been an Eastern Market institution since 1975, right on Russell Street by the market sheds. Fried and baked fish, shrimp and other seafood, hot wings and fried chicken fill the menu, and the chicken is halal. Cooking at home? Grab a fresh whole fish and they'll cut it into steaks or fillets on the spot. Party trays are available too, and the Eastern Market shop is one of several Al's around Metro Detroit.
