The 606 Horseshoe Lounge opened in 1936 at 606 East Adams, one of the clubs that made Adams and St. Antoine the center of Paradise Valley nightlife. It featured national acts including Duke Ellington, Dinah Washington, the Ink Spots and Sarah Vaughan. It was one of the last buildings standing from Paradise Valley's club era when it closed at this location in 1963; according to the UMSI project, it later operated at 1907 St. Antoine St.
