The Detroit story
The Pistons drafted Stuckey out of Eastern Washington University 15th overall in 2007, betting on his size and scoring instincts at guard. He broke into the rotation as the Bad Boys-successor Pistons were still a playoff contender, and Boston star Paul Pierce singled him out as "the X-factor" after Stuckey came off the bench to score 13 points in Detroit's Game 2 win over the Celtics in the 2008 playoffs. As Detroit's veteran core aged out over the following years, Stuckey grew into a lead scoring option, spending seven seasons in a Pistons uniform before finishing his career with three years in Indiana.
