The Detroit story
Myndy Crist was born Myndy Marie Zeno in Detroit in 1975 but grew up in Marin County, north of San Francisco, and trained at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Her first screen role came in 1995 in an episode of the sitcom Living Single, and she has since appeared in more than 50 films and television series, often in guest and recurring parts on crime and drama shows. In 2019 she won the jury award for best actress at the Riverside International Film Festival for the independent film Wake (2018). Her Detroit connection is her birth; her upbringing and career took place in California.
