The Detroit story
Detroit acquired Marcus Morris from Phoenix in July 2015, and he spent two seasons with a Pistons team built around Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson. He became a reliable scoring forward, and in 2015–16 the Pistons finished 44–38 and made the playoffs for the first time since 2009, though they were swept in the first round by the eventual champion Cleveland Cavaliers. Morris left Detroit after the 2016–17 season, continuing his career with Boston and several other teams.
