The Detroit story
Kevin Nash was born in 1959 in southwest Detroit to a devout Christian family. He broke into wrestling with WCW in 1990 and became a top WWF star in 1993 under the name Diesel, chosen partly because he was from Detroit, famously known as the Motor City. As Diesel he held the WWF, Intercontinental and Tag Team titles and reigned as WWF Champion for 358 days, the longest of the 1990s. He later co-founded the New World Order with Hulk Hogan and Scott Hall, and won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship five times.
