The Detroit story

Elisabeth Harnois was born in Detroit to a hairstylist mother and a computer-programmer father. She began acting at the age of five, when she landed her first film and television parts, including a role opposite Shelley Long in One Magic Christmas (1985). As a child she became known to a generation of viewers as Alice in Disney Channel's live-action series Adventures in Wonderland (1992–1995). She kept working as an adult in independent films and television, and from 2011 to 2015 she played crime-scene investigator Morgan Brody on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her documented Detroit tie is her birth in the city; she grew up largely in the entertainment world of California.
