The Detroit story
Dan Amboyer was born in Detroit on December 28, 1985, and grew up in the area, where he attended the Roeper School, the independent school for gifted students in Oakland County. He then moved to the Interlochen Arts Academy in northern Michigan, and his talent won him early admission to the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama after his junior year of high school; he graduated with a BFA and moved to New York to work in theater. On screen he played Prince William of Wales in the 2011 television film William & Catherine: A Royal Romance, then became known as Thad, the fiancé of Hilary Duff's character, on Darren Star's Younger. He went on to star in NBC's The Blacklist: Redemption and plays Luke opposite Neil Patrick Harris in the Netflix comedy Uncoupled.
