Dave Bennett

Dave Bennett doesn’t fit the usual jazz mold. His clarinet playing brings the swing era classics alive while channeling influences like Alice Cooper, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Chris Isaak. At the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe in Grosse Pointe Farms, he blended swing and rockabilly in a distinctive set. Starting his national touring career at 14 and performing with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall among others, Bennett’s show was full of energy and surprises that kept the audience hooked.
