Vincent Chandler Experience

Vincent Chandler is an American jazz trombonist, composer, and educator from Detroit, recognized as a prominent figure in the contemporary Detroit jazz scene. He holds degrees in Jazz Studies and Improvisation from the University of Michigan and has taught jazz at multiple universities including Wayne State University. Chandler has performed with legendary jazz artists like Herbie Hancock and Wynton Marsalis and has toured worldwide, blending jazz with funk, blues, soul, and R&B elements in his performances.

Beyond performing, he is an advocate for Detroit's jazz heritage, founding the Detroit Jazz Preservation Concert Series. At the Blue LLama Jazz Club, he leads his band with trombone and vocals, accompanied by guitar, piano, bass, and drums.
