Ursula Walker & Buddy Budson Sextet

Ursula Walker has been a fixture in Detroit's music scene for 72 years, starting her career at age eleven on local TV and radio. She's known nationally for her unique style in ballads and jazz standards. Buddy Budson has been a jazz pianist around Detroit for 64 years, touring and recording with jazz legends and backing well-known artists including Henry Mancini and Sammy Davis Jr. Their sextet featured top regional musicians: bassist Jeff Halsey, drummer David Taylor, trumpeter Dwight Adams, and saxophonist Keith Kaminski. The show delivered solid jazz classics at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe.
