Ferndale Art March: Gallery Opening

Still Building Pride: What Pride Looks Like in Community was an art-focused event exploring how pride is nurtured through connection, creativity, and shared space. The show displayed canvases inspired by Man in the City created by both community members and artists at the Affirmations Gallery, which commemorates Susan Pittman and Christine Puckett and highlights local LGBTQ+ art. Opening remarks were given by Josh Puckett at 2 p.m., followed by an introduction to Affirmations’ Gallery Liaison, Light Amor. Attendees enjoyed light refreshments and participated in art making. The artwork was available for purchase throughout March. Admission was free, and donations were accepted.
