Langston Kitchen’s Mahogany Collective Concert

Langston Marcelles Kitchen, rooted in Detroit and Harlem, is a decorated jazz bassist and a jazz major at Michigan State University. He played two sets at Cliff Bell’s on January 29, 2026, with doors opening at 5 p.m. for dinner before seating began at 6 p.m. and again at 9 p.m. Kitchen has studied with renowned jazz artists and appeared at the Detroit Jazz Festival among other venues. This concert offered a chance to experience his powerful bass playing and dedication to jazz firsthand.
