The Moth Story SLAM! Jokers
The Moth Story SLAM! with the theme 'Jokers' took place Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit. Storytellers shared true, five-minute tales judged live, with the top winner moving on to the GrandSLAM championship.
The Moth returned to the Cliff Bell’s stage for an evening themed 'Jokers,' featuring live story performances. Each storyteller had five minutes to share a true story, judged by a panel to pick the night's winner who advanced to compete in the upcoming GrandSLAM championship. The event strictly focused on authentic storytelling—no notes or fictional scripts allowed. It wasn’t stand-up comedy, but a raw, honest moment of storytelling where conflict and resolution came to life.
