COMPÁS (Center of Music & Performing Arts Southwest) hosts its Day of the Dead 5K and 10K at Patton Park in Southwest Detroit on Sunday, November 1, with the race starting at 9 a.m. sharp and money raised for COMPÁS youth performing arts. Registration is $55 for the 5K and $60 for the 10K until October 31 at 11:59 p.m.
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy holds its yearly Day of the Dead celebration at Robert C. Valade Park on Sunday, November 1, 11 a.m.–3 p.m., with food, live entertainment, shop vendors and kids' activities, plus a community ofrenda where you can add a name or message for a loved one.
