One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show

In suburban Philadelphia, Reverend Avery Harrison clings to his status in the local Black elite. His wife Myra’s malapropisms keep slipping out, their son Felix discovers sex with the help of Li'l Bits, and niece Beverly arrives from the rural South with news that her guardian is Caleb Johnson, a fast-talking partner from her late father’s shady nightclub. From rekindled passions to a possible pregnancy and Beverly’s smart play for Caleb, the comedy snowballs.
