Mark Hershberger and the Detroit Jazz Project

Mark Hershberger developed his jazz chops studying with greats like Marcus Belgrave and Sam Sanders and later at the University of Michigan. His band, the Detroit Jazz Project, grew out of playing Latin jazz and Motown collaborations with artists like Martha Reeves and George Clinton. They’ve performed at iconic places like Baker’s Keyboard Lounge and the Detroit International Jazz Festival. This February show was a chance to catch Mark’s experienced and varied group live in Grosse Pointe Farms at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe.
