Straight Ahead

Straight Ahead emerged from Detroit’s vibrant jazz scene as a groundbreaking, Grammy-nominated band. Comprised of strong, inventive instrumentalists and vocalists, they compose and arrange their music. They were the first all-women group signed by Atlantic Jazz. Their eclectic style ranges comfortably from mainstream jazz to Latin jazz and jazzy hip-hop. Their live shows are dynamic celebrations of power and joy. The band members are Alina Morr on piano, Marion Hayden on bass, Gayelynn McKinney on drums, Kymberli Wright singing, and Ingrid Racine on trumpet.
